Heat issues in 2 trucks
Heat issues in 2 trucks
Hello all, I've lurked these forums for quite awhile and have found lots of answers. Finally have one to post.
So my dad has an '01 F150, and his heat just barely gets warm. Heater core doesn't appear to be stopped up, so from reading other posts I'm guessing it's the blend door. Not quite sure how to get to it, but I may be pulling the dash this weekend to try. If anyone has instructions on this model I'd really appreciate it.
I have a '94 F150 with a slightly different issue. I have no heat, and the core doesn't seem to be blocked. The temp **** on the heater is also really stiff. When I first lost heat, the **** was on cold and it took a lot to turn it over to heat. Now it's on heat, and wont turn all the way over to cool. Not sure if the **** is mechanicaly attached to the blend door or what. My guess is the **** has a vacuum actuator on the back and maybe it's stopped up or jammed. Can anyone verify this for me, or is it actually the blend door too.
Thanks
