Any Thoughts? Noise from Vent

Looking to see if anyone has had a similiar problem. I was sitting at a traffic light and the truck started to make a terrific noise and vibration. At first, I thought it was something outside.

It was a cold day so I had the heat on. The fan was on the second position and the vent was on. At first I adjusted the fan selector, but the noise continued. Then I turned the vent off and the noise and vibration went away. The noise and vibration return with the selector in any position (vent, floor, defrost, floor/vent). I have not tried the air conditioner, but would expect the same.

I would have expected it to be the blower motor, but sounds like the vent motor.

Any ideas on the exact cause and how big a job this might be to resolve?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Willie
