Hey Guys, I know you can Recharge your A/C to make it colder, but winter is here and I need heat. My Truck stays out in the Driveway all night and even when I start my truck 10 minutes before I go out there, its still not as warm as id like it to be. Is there any way to speed up the Warming process???

 

The engine (and heater) will warm up a lot faster if you're going down the road, not letting it idle 'till it gets warm. You do get good heat after you're cruising down the road for a while, right?

10 minutes sounds like an awefully long time. Your not going to get full heat untill you go out and drive it around. I understand getting some warmth to defrost the windsheild, but after that I would just get in it and go.

The only thing I can really recommend is a good water heater, you should have warm water { not hot, but it will be compared to the outside air} as soon as you turn the key. How ever, you will have to plug it in at night then.

I am all for idling a truck to warm it up, but only a few minutes. I think 10+ minutes every moring will come back to haunt you in the long run.

I know alot of people are telling you to get in it and just go, But I dont think these guys realize how cold it gets up there. At 30 below 0 the windsheild frosts up on the inside before you even turn the key.

Its just not safe to drive if it cant defrost yet.
