EATC display problem

Okay guys, I now have the first thing that actually "went out" on my 02 Lariat Screw. This morning I noticed that the display on my EATC is not showing the outside temp. It shows nothing, just blank. When I turn on the system, it shows what mode it's in and the temp that I have it set to. When I push the "outside temp" button, nothing happens, it just stays displaying the A/C mode and the set temp. With the system off, it's completely blank.
Geez, what now? Is this the start of little things happening? I sure hope not. Can this be a simple fix? probably not.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

I guess no one has any ideas yet as to what could be wrong with my EATC outside temperature display. It's only been a couple of days, so I'll be patient. Maybe someone will come up with an idea........

Run the EATC self test, key on, engine off, hit "OFF" and "FLOOR" together, release them and hit "AUTO." See if any codes are stored. Sounds like something internally in the control head may be faulty.
