I'm having an arguement with my boyfriend. He says the AC Compressor cycles on every position of the ****, and I think it's only with the AC or Max AC positions. I use the Panel/Floor position all the time just to get some air. He says that cycles the compressor. True or False?

 

A/c compressor kicks on with Max A/C, A/C, Defrost, and Flr/defrost. Years ago, manufacturers decided to energize the compressor with the defrost feature.
