Cool A/C Upgrade

I own a 1991 F150 with a 5.0L and the factor A/C is leaking. I found the leak in a hose and I would like to upgrade the R12 system to R134. Do I need to look into any special parts such as o-rings, dryers, hoses, or compresure that need to be upgraded before making the change or can I simply purchase a kit and load the R134 into the current system? This a project truck so I would like to do this right the first time.

emtres9,
Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find lots of info here about a lot of systems. For the R-12 to R-134 upgrade, you will want to read Quintin's reply in this thread.

Best of luck.
