Bad Evaporator '01 F-150

MECHANIC SAYS EVAPORATOR IS BAD ON TRUCK AND IT WILL COST $700 TO REPLACE. hOW HARD IS THIS EVAPORATOR TO GET TO AND COULD A WEEKEND WARRIOR MECHANIC DO THIS JOB?

you can get them but makes sure you have the tools to pump down thw a/c system and put it into a vacuum before you recharge it
