vacuum schematic
They are not shown in the Chilton or Haynes books.I bought the truck used and someone janked up the vacuum system that controls the heater and a/c.I would appreciate any help that anyone might know about this.
You will need the Ford EVTM (Electrical & Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual). Keep an eye out on ebay, or visit your local Ford dealer to see if they have a copy that they will let you look at and perhaps copy a few pages from.
Also, check with your local library system to see if they have these manuals. For example, one library in the St. Louis County system has the archive of all of the system's OEM service documentation.
Alternatively, check for a set of Mitchell's also at the library. They are of professional grade and usually have this sort of information.
Your truck came from the factory with a vacuum diagram on a decal under the hood. But, after 19 years, it probably is either gone or unreadable.
As a last resort, check with www.helminc.com to see if they still have EVTMs available for sale for your truck. They will be fairly expensive, though.
