Question continued troubleshooting a/c

thanks again to quintin for the reply, i disconnected the low pressure switch and jumped w/ wire to no avail, however i did also disconnect the high pressure switch (kind of sticks up on a funny angle in the other a/c line) put a little elect. grease on 'em plugged em back in and manually turned the clutch on the compressor ( w/ engine off) and voila it came on and was blowing cold!!! hmmm what do you figure??? it also sounded like a poss. leak somewhere near the condensor while it was running, and after turning off, does this make sense? or if it did have a leak would it be completely "dry"???
thanks again guys.

From: Georgia on my mind...
If you're hearing hissing after shut down, that's just the system equalizing, if you don't see any oily residue or anything around the condenser or fittings, you're probably okay.
