a/c cycle switch, is this about right?

My a/c was cycling on and off about 3 times every 5 seconds, the air was/is quite cold, so thanks to these boards, I replaced the "cycle switch" ($10.50 at bumper to bumper) and now my a/c pump runs for about 15 seconds then disengages for about 7 seconds pretty consistently, is this the typical cycle time for a properly running system? Oh ya, 1997 s/c, 4.6, AT, 93,000 miles... thanks!

Hook up a gauge, run engine at 1500 rpms at Max and High fan...if it stays in the green ( cheap gauge) and it's blowing cold your good
