Angry smelly a/c

hey yall, my air conditioning has a funny smell to it, do you guys have any idea what could be causing it? it isn't like the smell of burning wires or anything like that, it just has a somewhat foul smell to it.

Usually the smell you describe is caused by bacterial growth/mold from condensation on the evaporator. You can spray some Lysol into the AC intake and let it sit overnight. If that doesn't work the dealers (and some detailing shops) have a foam they spray in the ducts to eliminate the smell.

Is the AC intake the area under the wipers?

Yes, but if you put it on max AC it will take air in from under the dash inside the cab, put it on MAX and turn the fan all the way up, you will feel where it it is drawing in the air, spray in there and it will suck the lysol into the system, then turn the fan down. The truck will smell like lysol for a few days but the smell will go away.
