Heater trouble... Always HOT!
Alright. This is my very first post here. I live in the Ottawa Area (Canada) and now that Spring has sprung, my heater is acting up. As the temperature is getting warmer, I don't need heat and soon will need A/C. However, whenever I turn the heater controls to cool, all I get is hot air coming out. Any ideas what it might be? It's on a 2000 F-150 XLT 4X4. I see most problems on here were just the opposite - no heat... Well I have some to spare it seems! Since I am not at all mechanically inclined, I'll be taking it in (unless it's some simple solution). I just want to get a feel for how big of a job it would be to fix...
Thanks!

You need to check the temperature control **** to see if it is broken. Simply pull off the **** and check for cracks on the back side. Aslo check to see if the temperature changes when you adjust the **** from cold to hot. You might also need to check the blend door.
Thanks for the reply yankee.... I know it might sound stupid, those temperature *****, do I just pull back on them? I tried pulling gently, not to rip anything out and it didn't seem like it was going to come out easy...
Alright, got the **** off. It seems all good. So it might be the blend door then. I am not even going to try getting to it on my own. So I'll have to let the garage do it. Probably gonna cost me an arm and a leg! Others have said it was 5-8 hours to get the dash out before getting to it... Oh well, gotta be done.
Thanks a bunch!
