Question Heater Question ------------------>

i noticed tonight for the first time that when i have my floor/floor&defrost on, the heater motor or fan makes a slight chirping noise only on the 2 lowest speed settings. Sounds kind of like a far off cricket chirping. Its not loud just something that caught my attention. Is there something that needs a little WD40 or grease? Any way to fix it? or should i just ignore it?

it might be the solenoid turning the a/c compressor on and off or it might just be the a/c compressor turning on and off.

on a non ford vehicle of mine i had a similar noise and it was dirt around the fan and depending on the weather conditions-mostly cool and somewhat humid-the fan would rub the dirt and sound like a far away cricket!!

The bearing on the blower motor is most likely the culprit.

Just a thought

Good Luck
