New Radiator drain plug?

After draining my old coolant out a few days ago, I over-tightened the plastic pet**** on my 98 4.2 radiator. The part that you turn snapped off when I did this. It still works fine though, since I can still turn it with a hex wrench. No coolant loss or other related problems after over 100 miles. Is it safe to keep the drain plug without a head on it, or should I replace it?

Its only an inconvenience for you, it doesnt hurt anything. But if it were me I would go ahead and replace it. Its a cheap fix and would be easier on you. If youre quick you can do it without much coolant spilling.
