Ok I was able to get up under the truck this weekend, and i have a coolant leak is coming from what looks like a weep hole in the fire-wall.

The truck has to be running long enough for the thermostat to open before the leak starts. I am pretty sure this is the heater core.

Have any of you heard about electrolysis, being a cause for premature heater core failure.
