Unhappy A/C no workie.?

Turned the a/c on today going down the interstate and got nothing but warm air. I fiddled with it for a while then gave up but left it in the on position. After about 10 minutes it started getting cold but lasted only for a few minutes. This happened on and off until I got home. I checked the system pressure and I'm fairly sure that is not the problem. The fuse is ok and all the electrical connections were tight on the compressor (clutch). I know virtually nothing about a/c systems and not much more on electrical troubleshooting but would like to come to some conclusion myself if at all possible, before taking it somewhere. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am also having a problem....... my post as posted in another forum.............

I have a question about air conditioning.

The other day I turned on my air and it was fine. The next day I got in, started her up, and it blew hot air. No matter what setting I put the climate controls, high, low, hot, cold, floor, AC, it always blows the same temperature of hot air. Do you know what is causing this? If not, ,what should I check first?

Thanks

I finally figured it out. It was a bad wire going to the clutch on the compressor.
