Question Compressor

I have the automatic temp control system. Is there any way to tell when the A/C compressor is running while in Automatic mode?

Thanks.

Other than listening real closely, probably not, since there is no indicator anywhere, at least not that I know of. It constantly cycles on and off based on temperature demands.

Thanks, I didn't think so.

I do have an idea how to make an indicator. In the section about adding electric fans, they hook into the compressor relay. A person could hook into that relay to turn a small LED light on.

I'm just curious on how much the compressor is really running while in Auto mode. If it's running all the time, the gas mileage isn't going to be very good.
