Ok, my 97 f150 blows hot air from the vents all the time. Im thinking its a problem with the blend door actuator, or the temp control ****, but my manual has no troubleshooting procedure for this. Anybody have something that could let me know which end of the wires are bad? Hate to swap out the actuator to find out the control was bad or vice versa.

 

My guess would be it is the door actuator. I say this only because I've not heard of the control **** end breaking, but I have heard quite a bit about the door actuator breaking.

 

Ahh, so the actuators are problematic on these things too then?
