Ok so about three weeks ago, I installed an aftermarket radio in a friends 2014 F150. She has an STX with LCD display along the top. The original radio started doing the clock flashing thing and cutting out randomly so we replaced it with a Double Din unit. Got the metra harness and radio panel and everything worked perfectly. Tapped a fuse in the passenger side fuse panel for the accessory on being the original harness doesn't have one.

Just this past week, the unit turns on but has no sound. Today we noticed something by accident. She had been randomly turning up the volume to see if it would come back and left it at a high volume during her last attempt. After turning the ignition off, the radio stays on until the door is opened. When she opened the door, the radio played music for the half second it remained on before turning off as it should. We are able to replicate this everytime we turn the truck off and get sound briefly as we open the door Seems like something is blocking the output of the speakers. Tried resetting the radio, pulling fuses etc but nothing worked.

Am I missing something here?? This sound familiar to anyone?
