Radio won't work

A buddy tried to install a new double din head unit in my '08 F150. It wouldn't fit right so he reconnected my stock head unit and it wouldn't work. He said the word theft came on the screen and then shut off. He didn't disconnect the battery while working on it. The fuses are fine. How do I get the radio to work again?

Iirc there's either a code you need to enter or it needs to be taken back to the dealer to have it reset. Basically what happened is the radio locked when it was being removed because it thinks its being stolen.

Also I'm not sure I'd trust that buddy to do another install, the battery should always be disconnected when doing that kind of work.
