Don't know if its a HU problem or what
Just installed a pioneer AVH-X5500BHS in my 02. I also installed the sxv200v1 siriusxm satellite radio controller as well, but my satellite radio tuner resets sometimes.
AVH-X5500BHS
Kicker DX 500.1 amp
2 - 12" Kicker CVRs @ 2 ohms together
Any time my radio is set above volume 30, and my amp level on the bass **** is set above 5, the satelite radio tuner cuts out and resets when I slow down below 20mph or when I'm stopped.
Has this happened to anyone? Is it a head unit problem? Is it a satellite tuner problem? Or since it happens when the bass hits and I slow down to a point where my rpms are low, could it be that my stock power system can't handle the pull and the stereo shuts off the external tuner to save itself?
Thanks.

I'd look into the last option. Could be that your alternator isn't pulling it's weight at or around idle. This could cause a voltage drop. Haven't really seen it do what you are describing, but when my alt was dying on my Sonoma, I had all types of issues with my amp and head unit. Replaced the alt and all was well. But YMMV on that.
Looks like my alternator is pulling it's weight. I installed a voltmeter today and while the truck is on it supplies at least 13-14 volts... I guess it's either my head unit or the tuner...
