Factory stereo volume problem.
Factory stereo volume problem.
2010 XLT, single disc, no Sirius.
Driving down the road, volume starts varying up/down all on its own. I'm not talking about the speed compensated thing, this even displays the volume level bars as it does it.
Another issue, that I think may be related... sometimes when I turn the volume **** up, the volume actually goes down. I'll have to use the steering wheel control to actually get the volume back up.
Anyone heard of this issue?

ive seen it in another car. not a ford. It went away on the car. Possibly use some electric cleaning stuff into the base of volume **** might help. Stock unit too.
It could be an omen too,, with the fact that some cd payers from ford trucks die. But those are 6 cd radios usually!!!???
good luck

I doubt my player has ever had a CD in it, so I wouldn't care if that went.
Might anyone recommend an electrical cleaner safe around all that chincy plastic?
Might try to disconnect the **** this weekend. That should eliminate that possible cause.
