Axxess or PAC interface

Looking to purchase a new double din receiver and I keep seeing all these products that either allow your steering wheel function to work or an interface to allow SYNC to continue working. Is there a preference? Do I need them both or will one work over the other. I've also seen a product called idata link. All 3 say they do this and that but what's the best choice if you want to keep your SYNC. Please rank in order of most important.

thanks

Hey chavez,

From the research I've done and from trying to install a Kenwood DNX7180 unit in my '09 F150, I have used the PAC interface with a SWIX and couldn't get the whole system setup. I did some further checking and found that Kenwood worked with Ford and Microsoft to make sure the newest models of their head units would connect with the iDataLink Maestro unit and keep the SYNC and steering wheel controls. The Kenwood DNX7190HD unit prices at $900+ and the Maestro unit is another $250 or so from the places I could find one. If you go to http://www.liveconnecteddriveconnected.com/sync/ and read through the site, this will give you some information on how the system connects and works. I'm not sure about the Pioneer or other units, but that's what I've found on the Kenwood units.

Hope this helps!!!
