default text on center console LED display
I just installed an Alpine INA-910 HU this weekend. Still have the SW controls, cabin mic and OEM rear camera to hook up (info on the video send and mic audio wire locations appreciated). Less than 2 hours with it but I'm impressed so far (especially the iPod control and NAV functions).
My question at this point is -- on the center console LED display, the one that displays outside/inside temprature and compass heading, that USED to display song title/track info in the center of the display and clock when the OEM SYNC system was installed, now displays the text "Audio by Sony". Appraently a default display when the SYNC system in removed. I have read other posts from folks who said it read "F150 Built Ford Tough" for them. I would much prefer the latter and not the former as my audio system is 100% Alpine, not Sony (I even removed the Sony badges on the door speaker grills and replaced them with Alpine badges).
Wanted to see if there is a way, perhaps some setting within the center console LED display unit (DIP switch?) that will allow me to change the default display setting, or blank it entirely. Long shot, I know, but wanted to ask anyway.
