New Changing to Old

I am getting ready this year to take my newer AM/FM-MP3 player unit out that I put in few years back and go about installing an original Ford FOMOCO AM unit from an early 1960's Ford car. I have a fascination of these old reliable units because of their Civil Defense era use with the C.D. triangles and solid engineering.

My question is how well with this fit my single-DIN head unit space on my '85 F-150 and will there be any additional power considerations I should be thinking about since the original pickup radio connections were fried when the plow came off the truck on the fuse board? Right now the radio runs with an inline fuse to the 1000amp battery I have strapped under the hood. (Still occasionally drains on it due to the memory feature of the radio - major DISLIKE)
