So I got my sub wired up using the factory radio and it all worked like a charm..... until my 105lb lab puppy stepped on my connections ripping the ground off and causing it to short with the 12v power on signal wire. I can still load cd's into it and the stereo lights up, but it won't turn on. None of the two radio fuses are blown. That makes sense because stupid me didn't put a fuse on that line, and it was spliced in with the head units power on wire which i believe essentially shorted the 12v power on for the head unit. Any ideas on a fix? Or (going the easy route) has anyone replaced their 2005 (or like model) factory stereo and have a 6disc (no factory sub woofer) head unit laying around? Any help would be very very very very very much appreciated.

Once again, I found out why they say hindsight is always 20/20.
