How many channels?
How many channels?
Im going to be running to 10" kickers in the rear with a set of comp speakers in the front and an upgraded set of speakers in the rear along with an amp
The only question I have is the number of channels? Idk if i need 4 or 6?
Update: order an Alpine CDE-105 from crutchfield for 150 bucks with all the normal goodies that come free
thanks langlowe for the info helped me out, next paycheck im getting a set of comp speakers either JVC, Kicker, or Infinity

What you have is 5 channels.
2 for front, 2 for rear, and subs are mono on 1 channel.
You could do a 4 and mono, 5, or 6 channel amp.
5 channel amps are usually 2 channels front, 2 channels rear, and single mono channel.
6 channel you would take channels 5 and 6 and bridge them to mono.

You did fine.
Sorry, I was mistaken on your original question. I was thinking you were asking about channels to the amps.
That 105 has front channels (1&2), rear channels (3&4), and a pair of sub outputs (5&6).
All you need now is 5 channels of amplification. The sub channels will be combined to a single channel mono.
