Got an aftermarket HU. Installed it and it wont power on, but when I hit the reset button it clocks a couple times and the red LED light on the CD slot lights up for a couple seconds and then nothing. Any ideas?

Besides the obvious possibility it may be a dead unit, they salesperson stressed it had to be a canBUS compatible vehicle... don't all 2007 F-150's with the OEM nav unit have canBUS? How might this affect whats happening or not?

I don't believe it would be CAN Bus system on a 07 F150. The only time i run into those CAN Bus systems are in the newer chrysler vehicles. Look for a Light Green/Yellow wire on your vehicle's wiring harness and also see what pin your red wire (from your aftermarket wiring harness, NOT radio or vehicles harness) plugs into on the vehicle harness. If there is no wire on the coming from the pin where the red plugs into, then you will have to find a new 12v ignition wire to tap the radio into. Hope that helps!
