Hey flav, I been researching that ebay linked model. This company is selling it cheaper with free shipping and you can put click for more options.

hmm....even better....i can't believe with all the functions though there isn't a sirius sat capability. makes the antenna on my roof useless along with the line in ipod jack on my dash.

not sure i like satelite enough to spend an extra 6-700 on a factory unit though then the yearly service haha. not to mention half the extras you get with the stock vs the one in the link.

if i don't win the factory one...i have no issues going with the one in the link. in the long run i think i would like that one better because i really don't like all the blue in the factory lighting since all the backlighting in the truck is green. the one in the link all the touch options appear to be green and you aren't over powered with a blue background on the screen like the factory ones.

hey which one are you bidding on? I think I am bidding too. Also, I don't think the factory 08 units have blue tooth. You need Mobile-ease™ Hands Free System Part Number: 3W4Z-19G399-AA MSRP: $392.11 I think we would need to get that unit if we want to use our phone on the nav unit. I am not sure, but from reading, it sounds like it.

Update: yes, confirmed with a member here. These factory units do not have bluetooth in them. I believe you can get aftermarket.

there are two on there i'm bidding on one...both end the same day...i'm not going any higher than 610...not for a used factory unit with no warranty or return. not to mention you have to do some extra stuff with it just to get it to play DVD's. it would be my luck you are bidding on the same one haha. the other one actually has a buy it now on it for 500. i think the buyer backed out it looked like so he relisted it with a buy it now option. it has the chrome ***** even though it doesn't look like it...all the other ones i saw were black *****. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...56017612023376

ahhh man I'm bummed, they said free shipping on that link I gave you. But its only for European buyers. We would have to pay the cheapest $72 extra. Still better than that guy from canada selling it for $599 plus $15 shipping. Plus they give you 1 year warranty. I just thought I'd update you.

warranties are nice...and the price is definitely better than trying to get a factory one with a lot less options.

If you are bidding on a factory nav with blue backlighting it's not legit. I have factory nav. And the only thing that is blue is the Ford emblem when it powers up. All the buttons are green backlit just like everything else in the truck.

the light behind the buttons are green....looks like a lot of the applications that run on the screen are light blue/blue though. that is what i'm talking about.

that's one of the things i don't like about the factory unit. with that other unit that is talked about in here....the screen backing seems black/dark other than the actual wording etc that shows up on the applications also in the main menu the backlighting is black with the tabs highlighted green or a reddish tint depending on what you select.

Flav, after doing research between Factory and the Chinese made one, I decided I am going to go with the Chinese brand. Factory look is a big issue for me and their unit nails it spot on. The thing with Pioneer, Kenwood and other after market units is that they look like aftermarket units. This one just blends in nicely, no brand names anywhere. I have been asking people who have bought the f150 unit's on Ebay and they freaken love it. The chinese unit just offers so much more compared to factory. What pisses me off the most, you can't even use your phone on the factory units without the blue tooth add on, which ford wants over $300 or you could go cheaper aftermarket. I already have back up camera but I want to see it on my screen so I am going to get that add on ($29) and I am going to get the tv tuner($89), so I can watch the free channels, lol. With DHL shipping at $72.71. My final price would be $676.71. Much better than the guy on ebay, only benefit with him is that he is closer and shipment might be faster. Good luck on your ebay bid. I was out bid on the unit I wanted. I am just glad I pushed the bid price up on that guy, lol hopefully it wasn't you.
