aftermarket head unit keeps messing up
Hi
i have a 1998 F150 with an aftermarket Sony Explode head unit that is about 9 yrs old. just about everyday it will start acting up. the radio will stop working. the CD changer works and plays fine. but the radio will start to crackle and the voulume will just almost go away. You have to turn the volume up to max just to be able to hear it, but then later it will just start working again. also one day i changed the station and the station ID stayed the same on the display but the station playing would change? wierd! Any ideas. Time for a new head unit? Just put new speakers in it about 6 months ago and do not want to blow them!
