well being as it is christmas i just went and purchased myself a pioneer AVH P3200dvd for my truck and a set of components Infinity Reference 6830cs. anyone ever hear those infinity component sets? they are 6" x 8" 2-way Reference Series Component. I plan on just using the head unit to push them for now. i got pretty decent prices from sonic electronix. does everyone enjoy the pioneer headunit? i purchased it because price was cheap and i already see a how to on here to install in my truck.

 

I love pioneer head units, they have the best equallizer settings in my opinion. You can tune them so well and they are always stylish.

 

yeah i dunno if ups runs on the weekends but it should have been here yesterday. looks like if they dont run on weekends ill see it monday. 1 quick question if anyone knows, dou guys think the HU will put enuff watts to my component system or will i have to go the external amp way?

 

Your new HU will push the new speakers just fine, but you won't get the sound quality you would get with an external amp. Install your new toys, see what you think and go from there.

 

What kind of amp or brand should I buy? I plan on buying another component set of the dame for the rear of the cab. I have been out of audio loop for a long long time. Back when I was in audio rockford punch amps were great. I dunno also a general rule of thumb as to how many watts from an amp I will need.
