XM/Sirius Module For Pioneer DEH-P6700MP
Well, good news... I went to Bestbuy and bought one... and installed it myself. Took me like an hour. I spliced right into the HU harness. I soldered the connections using silverbearing solder, and then heat shrinked it. I then tucked it in the huge cavity where the HU is and ziptied everything to not make it look like a rat's nest. Popped the truck's bezel back on and I was in business.
I ran the antenna wire in the conduit along the right side under the floor step that runs along the doors. I then ran it out the back of the cab access hole and tucked the wire between the rear window glass and used some rolled black electrical tape to essentially wedge it in there so it won't pop out. I then proceeded to follow the roof line along side of the black strip and then went about 8" in and used one of the sticky wire holders that came in the box. It looks like a factory job. Better than any rinkydink audio shop could ever do.
I appreciate Sundevil2188's help. Thank you sir!
However XM's customer portal is down for 36-48 hours... lol
But I know it's working great because I can pick up channel 1 and 247 clear as a bell. I just need to activate the darn thing -- when the portal is back up.
Again, I appreciate the help.
