Angry Another "No Illumination" problem...

Hey guys, I bought an Audiophile CD-6 HU out of an '08 Explorer to put in my '04 FX4 with Audiophile. THe CD player stopped working on my old one, and I wanted the nice chrome buttons too.

Anyway, it hoops up fine and sounds great, just like the old one. But of course, the buttons don't light up at night with headlights on.

Anyone find a definite way to fix this yet? I really love this HU and got a GREAT deal on, so I'd like to get the illumination to work properly.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!!

at this point i am sure its a programing problem, i replaced my 06 unit for an 08 with subwoofer output and got the same problem. i picked up another unit set up the same but it was from an 07 and it worked fine. this leads me to its a programing issue. that means going to ford!!!!! if i find out anything else i'll let you know.

I have the same problem - 2008 expedition head-unit in a 2004 f150. No illumination.

I can't believe there isn't a way to reprogram the head unit without going to the dealer.
