Since there's not a thread specific to this unit, I thought I'd add one because I finally found an answer for something I'd been searching for awhile, and it deserves one.
I did a cheezy mini review in someone else's thread on the replacement model
https://www.f150online.com/forums/4259319-post5.html
but I couldn't figure out how to get album art to show up. I figured since it was windows ce it could figure out the folder.jpg thing and even investigated tags, based on what the jvc manual stated, but there wasn't a tag that they described available.
Since I did a zune hd experiment this weekend (want a gigantic flash storage music player that sounds *much* better than the ipod) I ended up stumbling over it.
each mp3 file has to have the jpg embedded, so with windows media player, it needs to be in the library, and even if the album art shows up, you have to repaste the folder.jpg back to the cover art which will update all the individual files. If anyone knows how to do this programmatically I'd love to hear from you, as I have a giant library to go back through.
Another quirk I noticed is the volume scale is 0-50, but the sub cuts out over 47 (old cd at a much lower level than todays stuff, just ran out of headroom)
