How to remove 08 F250 radio
How to remove 08 F250 radio
I am trying to see if my mustang HU will work in a F250 but got stuck on trying to get the dash off. I can get the top part (just clips) but theres something holding it in pretty good on the bottom. It has the OEM brake assist on the bottom of the panel too. Any help would be great!
two hidden 7MM screws, I take them apart daily.
you need to pry off two covers to get to them, one on each side at the bottom of the dash
one is cig lighter on left and one is either blank or AUX input pulgin.

there is a little space where you can put something to pry the cover off, as you can see its right above the floor 4x4 shifter, where the cig plug is, that comes off. same spot on right side, its either blank or has the aux plug in there.
in this example the cig plug and pedal adjuster panel comes off, and the AUx plug comes off.

The raido is held in by 4 (7mm) bolts, two on each side.
Be glad its not a 05-06 dodge or a Nissan Titan!

This should fix you up, be careful but i have (no joke) pulled about 10000 dashes apart and the only one I have broke so far was a 98 dodge ram and a 05 ford ranger trim panel.
I have took anything from a 98-2010 apart, ford chevy or dodge.
From 1500/F150 WT/XL to fully loaded King Ranch and LTZ as well as a 2010 big horn.
I have even had gmc denali and cadillac escalade's. I have pics on my phone when I drilled a hole in the roof of a 60K Denali pickup fully loaded out brand new right off the lot. No joke the dealer drove the truck to me for a phone cradle and signal booster install.

Awesome info THANKS! Its a work truck and the volume went out so I am going to see if my mustang GT HU will work. The bolts and size look the same but I odnt know about the plug. Both were a simple radio.
I have my factory 06 F-150 HU if you need it, ill let it go fairly cheep.
Its just a raido/cd player and should fit yours. if I am right about it, they are all the same.
