Angry Ear popper recommendations?

I've got to tell you... now on my 3rd deployment overseas, the hardest thing to deal with is theft while deployed. My wife came downstairs yesterday to find my truck wide open and my custom truck-PC HU cut out of the dash.

I'm trying to re-plan my replacement. With a 1000$ deductable, it's barely worth filing a claim.. so I was thinking about installing an iPad and connecting the audio through a basic HU that can hook up to the steering wheel controls. Anyone have any recommedations for a cheap head unit that can do that?

Also, I'm going to put in some tye of aftermarket car alarm.. since the Ford one is obviously completely useless. They popped the driver side door with a scredriver and didn't even scratch the paint.

Anyway, I'm wanting a seperate battery powered 200 Db powered screamer that is motion sensitive. Or something that has remote alert. If someone is going to steal anything out of my truck again... I'd at least like to keep some of their ability to hear. Any ideas out there my F-150 brethren?

Salerno, out in do a google search for Rocket City Run Club. I haven't had the chance to make it out to Kandahar... I hear it's a nice place.
Khost.
Anyhoo, the connectivity to the ipad shouldn't be a problem, like you said, almost anything these days has it. My issue is getting something on the cheap that can integrate the steering wheel controls. I'm going to do a custom mount bracket for the iPad (or whichever slate i end up putting in it) once I get back.
