has anyone put a 7 inch in the 04+ f150 and do you have pics? did you need a install kit?(besides the harness)

 

7" headunits go in really easily with the 04-08 years. The opening is actually 2.5-din, so you can get a single-din fold out unit to fit, or a double-din unit. All you would need is a dash kit to fill in the extra holes on top and bottom of the unit.

I don't have any pictures to provide to this page because I have no images on my computer (got erased when my laptop crashed) but this link shows me installing my Alpine IVA-W205 headunit. It's 6.5" diagonally, but 7" will fit just as easily.
