If you have any doubts talk to the guys at Crutchfield. I have bought 2 head units and a couple of other pieces from them and they are great and won't steer you wrong, IMHO of course.

It seems like a good unit but why go with a flip-out over a double din?

I agree. Double dins are so much cleaner looking...

That is how ridiculous Crutchfield can be sometimes. The HD tuner doesn't have to fit your truck. It's a hideaway box that can be put anywhere.

The problems associated with flip out monitors are not worth it to me. I've had both types and I much prefer double din over a flip out.

You can use it but you will need to fill the remaining slot with something...

Yes you can use the HD tuner. The only thing that has to fit your truck is the HU itself. All the add-ons are just square boxes you mount hidden and then attach a cable from that box to the HU.

i tried to find a double din on crutchfield that i like. but they were either to exspensive or didnt offer what i wanted. I really want bluetooth and i would like to be able to hook my ipod to the back of the unit. I found a pioneer that i liked but it had the usb on the front and also it only had a 5.8 inch screen. How long do the motors on the flip out units usually last?
