Attention Clarion Owners!

I have recently removed the battery from my truck. After the install I start my truck and go to turn on my stereo. Cool, it wants a password. I never put a password in it. Long story short it has a built in anti theft. Now its locked out and Clarion wants $150.00 to reset the unit. I highly recommend if you own a multi media Clarion you put a password in it. Save yourself the money and headache.

Could you kill the power completely for, say, 24 hrs and force a hard reset?

*edit to add* IIRC the stereo should have come with a factory-rest PIN code on a card included in the original documentation. Don't still have all the docs, by chance?

Yea, I let the sterero sit for 2 days with no luck still wants a password. Spoke with clarion and they do not include a reset pin, I have checked all the paper work also. They claim if the unit is stolen anyone can reset it. I think its BS. Ive been working with Crutchfield on the issue, and lucky for me they are sending me a new one. I think next time I will stick with Pioneer.
