New headunit install help. asap pls

Hey guys i jus got my stuff in for my headunit and i wanna install it tomorro. What i have:

Pioneer avhp3200
Scosche fd23b harness
Metra 99-5815 double din kit from best buy

A few questions:

1. how do i run the bypass for the headunit? im not very good with wiring but i know enough to install the headunit. I have a rocker switch under my steering wheel that i would like to hook the bypass to if its possible, just not sure how to so it.

2. do i have to cut off hte four back tabs on my dash kit form best buy?

3. which wires DO NOT need to be hooked up to anything (wires that came with the HU)

i think thats about it. i need as much detailed info as possible pls. thanks for the help again guys!!

hey man i have a different kit and harness but its basically the same thing.
for the kit, yes you cut/snap off the back two tabs on the sides of the kit

for the harness and wiring, all you need is the red, black, yellow, white, gray, green and purple wires.
its pretty self explanatory, red to red, black to black, white with black to white with black....
all of the other wipes cap off or tap and make sure no wire is visable so it wont short if it touches metal behind the dash.

^ thats the harness i have

^ wires you need

for the bypass, im not to sure but i think all you do is connect the one side of the switch to the green wire from the headunit and the other wire on the switch to ground.
id search on youtube or somewhere but i think thats it.

good luck and if you have any question holla

ohh well i just cut the tabs off so im good with that. as far as the wires go...i just attached all the wires that matched up so all i was left with was the brown, blue, orange/black, and pink wires that werent used on the scosche harness and the blue/white, purple/white, and yellow/black on the avhp3200 harness. the yellow/black says mute? so is that supposed to be hooked up?

the blue and blue with white are if you have a factory amplifier or a power antenna. the brown, pink and yellow/black are mute and youdont need those. but for the purple/white wires im not sure. just cap them and leave them disconnected if everything works

Purple/white is reverse input. Tells the HU when the truck is in reverse and only needs to be used with a back up cam.

Let me know how you like the pioneer avh-p3200, i'm thinking about buying the same unit. Did you get the avh-p3200BT or avh-p3200DVD?
