Hello after searching and reading several pages of post, I can not seem to find a definitive answer. I own a 2006 Mark Lt with a audiophile 6 disc with factory installed sub woofer, and I would like to add a port, cable, interface, or some type of connection to my stock head unit. Is it possible to just order a cable from ford like the ones found on later model trucks, like a plug and play type of thing? Or is my only option a $156 interface from installer.com. I don't have any problems tapping wires, soldering or any other type of modification, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Well here is the back of my head unit I know that on the radio I was able to look at that has the factory mp3 connector it plugs into the smaller wire harness on the right in the photo. Anyone know much about the factory units?
