the existing head unit has all of the silk screening worn off so i picked up a "new" one on ebay for 150

it was listed for the 05 (f150 screw larait) but it only has 2 plugs on the back and ALLDATA shows a 3rd for the sub - so my question is, has anybody tried to swap out the front panels on these, if i can canibullize them and make 1 good unit

also has anybody had problems with the factory unit playing CD's when cold

short commutes to work and play so i can't justify a lot for after market stuff
there are other "wants" with higher priorities.
