Getting new HU

Right now I have the Brandmotion Ipod connector. Its great, but I like to change songs a lot and its kind of a pain sometimes.
I have $125 in Best Buy gift cards and I have nothing else to buy there so I would like to get the HU from there. All I need it for is my ipod so the only features I need is AUX port and detachable faceplate. A connector for charging the ipod would be nice but I dont absolutely need it.
From just looking online I like the Pioneer 2100.
Usually if its over $100 theres free installation but I haven't been in the store yet to check them out.

Also I have a Hi-o converter spliced for my amp so would there be any trouble installing the HU and do you think they might charge more since I do have it?

We havent done free install on decks in over three years.

2100 (with free ipod cable) $110
Dash Kit/Wire Harness $40
Deck Install $50
Ipod Cable Install $20
Shop Charge $5

They may charge you an extra 20 to run RCA's...unless the LOC is already behind the factory radio. In that case, they shouldnt charge anything extra. Let me know if youve got any questions...

Last time I was there I could of sworn they were doing the free installs. Anyways could I buy the dash kit and harness and would it be hard to install at all?

Not hard at all. There are tons of guys on here willing to help you out if you run into trouble. Head unit replacing is the easiest part of audio install. If you need to run new wires it will be a little tougher, but I took some pics when I re-ran mine the other day. If you need help feel free to PM me and I'll shoot you the pics.

I guess Ill just do it myself then. Did you have to splice anything or was it all just plug-n-play mblouir?
Also Sundevil do you know when the 2010 Pioneer lineup will be out?

If you purchase the wiring harnesses it is very easy to put our own HU in. The mounting brackets and the harnesses are all available at BB. Shouldn't take you much more than an hour to a 1/2 hours to put the new one in. if you have an amp and the RCA's are already available, they should plug right into the back of the HU.

Plug and play after you wire up the harness.

We usually get our product reset in march/april

Brandmotion iPod Direct Connect Update

We've recently launched version 4.0 of our iPod Direct Connect adapter for Ford that lets your iPod pick up where it left off after you last turned off the vehicle. Also, version 4.0 doubles song scrolling speed. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions that led us to make the improvements. If you already have an earlier version of our system, you can call us at 877-276-6456 to purchase the new adapter box only for less.
