ive got a 2002 f150 that i have put a aftermarket stereo in, and i have a 1978 f250 that i would like to put my factory f150s stereo in, is that possble and how woul i do it, i know the old ones have like 3 wires or so dont they

 

Yes, it is possible. Heres how you do it. You"ll need Metra part number 71-1770. That will give you the male plugs that will go into your head units radio, wire wires to tap into the trucks 12v constant, 12v switched, ground, and your speakers. I know for sure you can get the harness at best buy for $20. After that, its just a matter of cutting an opening to make that bigger radio fit. Cant really say im too sure what the dash in that truck looks like, or if it will even fit.
