beefed up stocker

So.... i've got the stock head unit with a Bazooka 4ch Amp on the back wall, that juices 4 Sony Xplod speakers in their stock locations. My factory head unit has Sirius SR and the iPod port. To switch to an aftermarket unit, I've been told that I have to buy a whole new Sirius SR set-up. yeah, i'm a broke ambuuuu-lance driver! lack of funds. If it's not that much i wouldn't mind.
1) Can't i get as good of acoustic performance with amped speakers?
2) if someone knows the bill on the conversion, please let me know?
Thanks y'all, it's nice to be back!

You should be able to use the existing antenna thats in your truck, but yes, to switch to an aftermarket headunit, you need an aftermarket tuner. As of now I dont beleive there is anyway to retain the stock one.

Well, heres a quick run down if you would be doing it through me...

Deck $100-$200. Depends on what features you want, type of display, etc etc. I personally am partial to Pioneers...I think they have the cleanest look and their quality is top notch. I also think Pioneers have the easiet control for Ipod and Sat and what not.

Install parts $50. Depends on where you buy from. Some places have it cheaper then best buy. You need a dash kit and a wire harness. I dont think 07's had switched over to the Chrysler style antenna...pretty sure that starts in 08's. If so, youll also need an antenna adapter.

For the Sirius, you'll need two pieces. the SC-C1 Universal tuner, $70. Then you need the interface for whatever brand deck you go with, usaully right around that $70 again.

If you didnt wanna do it yourself, deck install is $50 and the Sat install is $60.

Hope this helps man. Let me know if you have any other questions

First of all you will need the 40CR10. F150's started using it in 07.

Then that tuner cost is sounding a bit too high, its normally around 100 total. Then 50 to install radio (Alpine fan) and another 50 to install DSR-direct.
