Removing factory HU....

Exclamation Removing factory HU....

I bought a new HU and I know theres a post on how to remove the factory HU somewheres but can't find one with pics....someone help me out!!!! Its a 07 xlt with the base(normal, no subs, no cd changer) system!!!!

do a search , its very easy

open the ash tray and pull the lower corners of the trim plate out, (they re just held in by clips, it may take a bit of force) once you get the bottom clips free , they re should be 2 more on each side and just work your way up.

once you get the trim plate off , you have to unhook hvac controls and the air bag light at the top og the trim plate.

and then the h/u is held into place by 4 bolts

basically pull it of. get a pick with a hook, kind of like what the dentist uses on ur teeth. this way u dont mark up the surround of ur dash. once its a bit popped out u can pull on it using even pressure, slowly
