Alpine 505 Need install help-small panic

I just installed my new Alpine 505 and things work like Audio, Sat radio and the back up camera I installed but I can not see DVD Video, I can hear the track but no picture..I think I have it wired right with the parkeing brake and the foot brake...just checking does anyone know the right colors for those. I have an '05 King Ranch Supercrew. The unit is not seeing my Bluetooth either? In settings, I only see audio settings and no other? Any ideas would really help!

Have you considered getting a module for bypassing the video lock? I have one on my Alpine IVA-W205. When I first installed it I tried to hook it up to the foot and e-brakes (which didn't work cuz I didn't get the right wiring colors) but when I got my rear monitor for my nieces and nephews it didn't display anything back there durinig driving so I just bypassed the lock in total.

As far as the video- either get your hands on a PAC TR-7 or wire it like this..

Yellow with blue stripe- to a switch-- to acc

yellow with black stripe-- to a switch-- to ground

This way you do the same steps- 1 on- flip 2nd switch 2-3 times and return then flip the 1st one off.. you now can watch while you drive.

Blue tooth will not work untill you can get into the menu and turn it on-- Factory is off.. Did you get the nav piece or just bluetooth?

TR-7 is by far the way to be with this unit.

That's what I have on mine, turn the key and go, no fidgeting with switches. Just hook it up to the e-brake, foot brake, acc, 12+, and 12-. You can wire the module inline with your headunit so you won't have to run a whole new power wire from the battery.

Alpine 505 Help

Thanks for the replies. So I have to ask what is a "PAC TR 7" and why would I use it? Would this mean I would not need to hook up to the Parking Break and foot break?

GJ Screw I do NOT have the Navigation only the Bluetooth. I only see "audio" in the set up menu...Am I missing a step to turn on these functions? Thanks again for all the help!

It's a small box that pulses a 12V signal to the e-brake and the foot brake in a sequence that bypasses the video lock on the headaunit. It's nice to have because you don't need switches, just a box wired into the head unit's e-brake wire, foot brake wire, accessory wire, 12V positive wire, and the ground. Once you hook that up and turn the key on, it bypasses it from the start. You can find it on ebay under car audio and video, just search for PAC-TR7, it's gonna be a small black box, video bypass.

Yep.. The tr7 should be easy to find- even locally... As the bluetooth- you will not have that option untill you do the switches or TR7 and bypass the lock.. then you will get the bluetooth option...
