which dvd double din?

I'm just trying to plan out my system and this is where I'm planning to start. I've been looking into the kenwood ddx512 or anything similair. I dont need navigation either. I also dont want to spend over 500-600 for it. Which ones can I add a custom backround on? I do plan on adding components up front, 6x8s in the rear, with a 10' sub out back.

I have Alpine's IVA-W200, which is a couple years now. They replaced it with the IVA-W205 ($700-$800, I think). Not to familiar with other brand's DD's. After reading suggestions, you should go and "play" with some and see what you like. I always look for things like how easy is to use, do I like the display, etc. Probably not to much help, but good luck and have fun!

you can probably get a hold of an avic d3. I love mine and it has customizable backgrounds.

Yeah, I need to go to a store and just mess with all of them a bit. I hope to start shopping a little after christmas. I'm just trying to get a good idea of what I want and the pros and cons of certain models.

I got the DNX5120 Kenwood (ddx + nav). It's pretty good. I haven't tried changing the background yet, but it works great with playing DVD's and radio (bought the HD tuner to go with it). Pretty easy install.... I think you can snag the same one for $600 on ebay. I wouldn't recommend it unless I personally hadn't bought one from the same company. Let me know if you would like the link!
