The antenna is able to be used on an aftermarket sirius.

Also, mic placement is the #1 factor in picking up echoes... Steering wheel is a great place.
Mine is on the A-Pillar and uses the left spk and picks up a good bit of echo. But mine is also amplified and that definately doesnt help at all.

People on ebay are selling those sirius units. I have seen them sell for over $200. If your planning on selling the HU might as well sell the sirius.
