well my stock 6 disk mp3 deck finally kicked the bucket. it keeps spitting out cds and wont read anything. i barely get the radio so im suffering. i wish i could get a DD but the money just isnt there now. im looking for a decent single din radio that plays MP3s and possibly has an Aux in. I would like to stick with alpine but im open for suggestions. thanks guys!

Um, Alpine or Pioneer heads have AUX outs and in's.
they have everything you need. They dont get too pricey but if you want nice, you spend more.
i have a $300 head in mine thats iPod capable and has a remote.

 

Check out post #7 of this thread. I'm in your same situation and I put this together for $100... The HU is only a single CD, but has an Aux input and plays MP3 & WAV CDs...

The speakers are plug and play. I picked up 4 of them and this set up will work on your truck. $100 for the HU, 4 5x7s, deck kit and wire harness. I figure this will last me a year or 2 until I can upgrade to what I want.
